You'll notice that the SPL now has its own stats site; UberRater. It's still not quite ready, but Beef has done a lot of work in a short space of time and so far it looks really good. Also, while MR is still not ready, UR can be used to parse Premier League logs.
Starseed couldn't continue in the tourney which is why CRV moved on despite losing. Assassins did beat PH 12-2 in the final, the reason it says 8-2 on the log is that the bot didn't assign the deaths to PH when slim and 0Nether specced. There was a restart in the final when zoo died while subbing in for Nethervoid and both teams agreed it should be counted as an ID. You can read the log of the first game here.
The rule changes from last week look to have worked. The pro subbing rule was something the SPL needed due to the shortness of the games and although the tie rule wasn't needed this week now that everyone knows about it there's no controversy about what happens in tied games.
There was another rule change that I didn't agree with though, although I completely understand why Beef had to do it. Assassins played right from the start rather than just defending their title in the final game. This was done because in week 2 Ass almost no-showed after having to wait approx. three hours for the games to be played out to the final. This takes away the pyramid aspect of the league, but it is better than the reigning SPL champs no-showing. Maybe a compromise would to give the squad the option of waiting until the final or playing from round 0.
Beef has put up the sign up thread for week 4, which also contains all the SPL rules and info you need. Go here to get your squad signed up. Games will start next Saturday at 3pm EST.
