If you read the final two logs you'll see that there was some confusion and controversy about the tie rule in the Unh/PH game. How it works is if the game is a tie after 30 minutes then the team that scored the first kill wins. I personally like it - it's the same rule that was used in Gladiator League and it worked well there. I think the main problem was that the players didn't know about it until after the game was over, despite it being spammed. As long as the ref informs the two squads at the start of the match I don't think that this will be a problem again.

The other rule that people didn't like was that the squads were allowed two full-ship subs. With the games being only 30 minutes long this didn't work well and from next week Beef is going back to Pro subbing rules (all subs are burnt expect for one minute after a death) for the tourney.

After only two weeks in existence, a couple of minor rule problems aside, the tourney has been a great success. Beef has put up the sign-up thread for squads to compete in next week's tourney. You can check it out here. The games will start from 3pm EST this coming Saturday in SSCX Chaos/League SVS and the blog will have all the results and stats when they're released.
