Odin's Pro League Round 9 Recap

Odin has just posted his thoughts on the Premier forums about last Sundays games. Here's what he had to say:

Nightbane vs Joke

I looked at the game log on MR and remember that I actually witnessed this disaster of a game... Neither team showed 4 at the start but NB took only minutes into the game to put 4 players in and sweep Joke for a 12-0 win. The curious thing about the log is that the ref (Cruncy) ends it with a "gg teams" message... it was not a GG. It was a terrible game. Steps should be taken from preventing players on squads like Joke to rejoin league but it's not fair to all the people there. Oh well, look carefully folks, don't recruit any of these clowns next season please.

NB has struggled in Pro but I've said this before, I admire the fact they show up and play the game and even though they don't win every round they try.

Intrinsic vs Radar

The game was postponed and since I didn't do predictions this round I will knock that one out now! Personally I think both teams are evenly matched, they both sport 4 or 5 very strong players and the rest are not so good... Intrinsic has had a good season while Radar on the other hand has had a terrible season. My view is that Radar is a better and more talented team but is suffering from lack of activity. If they show up for a game I know they can beat Intrinsic and probably anyone else. Since they postponed the game I think they're taking it seriously and will show up during the makeup round.

Intrinsic on the other hand is getting too cocky because of some of the success they've had this season vs top teams. I think Radar is the team who will show them where they stand which is somewhere slightly above average in Pro.

Predicted outcome: Radar wins by 6
Players to watch: Benji, Savage as he challenges Radar to duels after the game.

Unhallowed vs The Dark

I honestly came into this game expecting to get pushed around and barely scrape by with a win. We had practiced vs Unhallowed in previous weeks and they were much more dominating in their practices then during gametime. Notably Grifter and Seismic and Nova were missing from their lineup... this meant very little offense from Unh and an embarassing loss with a final score of 12-2. Both of the TD deaths came on late reps and besides the time Chrono owned and killed me I don't think I really had to rep the entire game. We even got frustrated with the backarrowing and Da_monkk said something which in turn caused comments from the attending Unh players.

I'm sure if Unh had their usual lineup in they could've pushed us and even won, but this show was very bad for them and the game was rather boring despite the high score.

B.I.A. vs Stalkers

Not sure why but apparently Stalkers forfieted the game... they have been good about showing 4 players to games so far, not sure what happened. This is once again bad for BIA since playoffs are coming and they need all the gametime they can get.

Assassins vs Starseed

Two of the top teams, this marks the second week in a row Starseed has gotten rolled. Notably Rage and life were missing but I don't think it would've mattered because Assassins won 11-1 while Travis was sitting in spec. The only death for Assassins came when Mop traded in the middle of the game and took out Enforcer and Megaman at the same time (I think.) The only player on Starseed who did anything productive was Suprem, and the productivity narrowed down to running the clock out in a jav. Actually Suprem's entire team was out and he still had 3 lives and a rep. And I thought he would be the one to choke when I first looked at the SS starters.

Seriously, Enforcer and Megaman need to get back in shape, they dominated Pro a year ago and I'm not sure why they're not producing anymore. Get online and prac a bit.

Reaem guaranteed a championship a while ago, I think he's going to have to wait for Assassins to retire before he obtains his goal. Reaem, if you're reading this, I hope you realize it's not going to get any better then this.

Gods vs Spell

Spell wins by a no-show, good job Inde, way to get banned for using a !burn command on a known cheater (LOL.)
